According to Latino Review, there is some major news regarding the next Superman movie. If you’ve been paying attention, we recently reported that Christopher Nolan would be involved. This remains true, but the good news keeps on rolling in. It has been announced that David Goyer will be in charge of writing the movie that will no longer be referred to as Superman 3.0, but as its actual title of The Man of Steel.
Some other interested tidbits were dropped about the film, including Brandon Routh NOT starring, as well as Bryan Singer NOT directing. Gotta be happy about those items.
While no major plot spoilers were revealed, the scooper did say:
“I can tell you that Goyer’s story involves Luthor and Brainiac. It is NOT an origin and assumes audiences already know about Lois, Clark, Jimmy and Perry. I know the Daily Planet is struggling due to the internet. And I know it sets up a huge Kryptonian mythology.”
And I’M hoping this isn’t all just rumor, because so far it sounds pretty good to me.
Can’t wait! I have always been a fan of Superman, and the latest renditions haven’t quite been up to par with what I expected. With Nolan involved, and Goyer writing, this should be a grand slam.
