In their upfront presentation this past Wednesday, MTV announced that Beavis and Butt-head would be coming back this summer.
Created by Mike Judge (King of the Hill, Office Space), Beavis and Butt-head first appeared in a short called “Frog Baseball” as part of the MTV animated show Liquid Television. The popularity of the short led to the development of the half-hour show.
The original Beavis and Butt-head series ran for 200 episodes between its premiere in 1993 and its finale in 1997. In that time, there was also a feature film (Beavis and Butt-head Do America), a comic book series, and a handful of video games.
