Will Ferrell, as Ron Burgundy, stopped by the Conan set to announce that a sequel to Anchorman has been given the green light by Paramount Pictures.
Ferrell and Adam McKay will co-write the sequel and McKay will again direct. Much of the first film’s cast is expected to return for the sequel. Production is slated to start toward the end of 2012 with a release in 2013.
