Even though Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hasn’t finished airing their first season yet, the cartoon has already been renewed for a third season.

The announcement took place at the Nickelodeon upfronts, where Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman said that the kids cable network, which has gone through some rough times lately, “has hit the reset button” and is “reinventing itself.” Part of the plans for that reinvention will be a big investment in animation. The renewal for season two was announced back in October, and adding on a third season already shows the network’s conviction.

The series stars Jason Biggs (Leonardo), Sean Astin (Raphael), Rob Paulsen (Donatello), Greg Cipes (Michelangelo), Mae Whitman (April O’Neil), Hoon Lee (Master Splinter) and Kevin Michael Richardson (Shredder).
