By now, we all know how much of a geek Patton Oswalt is, but this is just impressive.

By now, we all know how much of a geek Patton Oswalt is, but this is just impressive. On an upcoming episode of NBC’s Parks and Recreation, Oswalt plays a citizen trying to block a City Council vote, evoking the “citizen filibuster” rule to do so.

Producers allowed Patton to ramble about any subject he wanted, and what results is a proposed plot for Star Wars: Episode VII involving tie-ins with The Avengers, greek mythology, and the X-Men. Even more impressive is that this was all accomplished in one continuous, 100% improvised take. It’s SO entertaining that we’ll forgive Oswalt’s incorrect naming of the X-Men’s Blackbird jet.
