Noel Clarke and Benedict Cumberbatch have both joined the cast of the J.J. Abrams Star Trek sequel.
Noel Clarke is best known to sci-fi fans for playing Mickey Smith on Doctor Who. While the specific role hasn’t been released, it’s being reported that Clarke will play a family man with a wife and young daughter.
Benedict Cumberbatch has been cast in a lead role, but no other information has been given regarding what that might be. Cumberbatch can currently be seen on the big screen in War Horse and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. He is best known for portraying the character of Sherlock Holmes on the BBC adaptation series.
Ok from what David Tennant said in Chris Hardwick’s interview he would like to be in Star Trek. So with Noel Clark and Simon Pegg he’s gotta get into that movie.
