At the Sonic 25th Anniversary event at San Diego Comic Con, Sega and the Sonic Team announced the next title in the Sonic franchise... Sonic Mania.
At the Sonic 25th Anniversary event at San Diego Comic Con, Sega announced next title in the Sonic franchise – Sonic Mania. The game is a return to Sonic’s 2-D roots featuring retro-inspired and brand new levels, traditional sprite artwork, and a focus on “core classic gameplay”.
Unlike titles such as Sonic Generations and Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episodes I & II, the game won’t be a modernization of the old school games but rather a full embrace of the genesis classics.
The game will be available for PC, Playstation 4, and XBox One sometime in Spring 2017.
