Humans cast in The Muppets

Amy Adams, Chris Cooper and Rashida Jones are all in negotiations to join the cast of The Muppets.

The film, already set to star Jason Segel, is said to be loosely based on a Jim Henson idea originally titled The Cheapest Muppet Movie Ever Made, wherein Gonzo is hired to direct a film, but winds up blowing his entire budget on the first day. From there, he’s forced to finish the picture without any money but with the help of his Muppet friends.

Zach Galifianakis is also set to appear in what will most likely be a cameo role in the film, as Robert Downey Jr. let it slip during a recent interview that he’ll be shooting for “a couple of days.”
